  53. StuffIt Expander.  The expander is available at ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu

  60. Some people are having problems starting up MacMosaic. If MacMosaic
  61. crashes before the splash screen is displayed, it is possible that there
  62. is a problem with your system. We now know that when the Apple Shared 
  63. Library Manager(ASLM) is deinstalled improperly, when any application asks
  64. the MacOS if ASLM is present, the system will crash.  To deinstall the ASLM
  65. run the ASLM installer.  Hold the option key down and the install button
  66. should change to a deinstall button.  Click the deinstall button.

  68. It is possible that this problem may exist with other MacOS
  69. extensions that require an installer. If MacMosaic won't start
  70. up on your machine, we recommend that you reinstall the system.

  76.     Sometimes menus are not updated properly when editing
  77.         custom menus.
  78.     There are still pagination problems in tables.
  79.     Does not work with Type Reunion.
  80.     Sometimes the menu bar gets messed up when you start up
  81.         the PowerMac version.  (This seems to be a MacOS
  82.         problem.  I have seen it in other applications
  83.         besides Mosaic.)
  84.     There are still some pagination bugs that have been
  85.         fixed in version 3.0 (coming soon!).
  86.     Incorrect table HTML will sometimes crash MacMosaic.

  338.         still paginating, and then returned to it.
  339.     Extracting tables from cache now works.
  340.     Loading XBMs under certain circumstances previously could

  343.     It was previously possible to submit a form several times before the
  344.         first submission was processed. This would cause a crash.

  361.     user must be set in the "Preferences", under "Gates" before this
  362.     feature is accessible.

  366.     A local disk caching feature has been implemented.  NCSA Mosaic will
  367.     now retain copies of recently accessed documents to decrease the
  368.     amount of time spent accessing the network.  There is also a "Cache"
  369.     section in the "Preferences...".  Caching preferences should be set
  370.     soon after starting this version of NCSA Mosaic.  If this is not
  371.     done, NCSA Mosaic will default to the System Folder as its cache
  372.     directory resulting in a large number of cache files being saved
  373.     to the System Folder.
